Today I feel very optimistic. I had such a lazy start to the day, for the first time in MONTHS. I wasn't on-call last night, meaning I could go to sleep
and not subconsciously keep an ear out for a phone call. I didn't have to get up to bring anyone anywhere. I didn't have any time schedule to keep
because there are no appointments today. How luxuriously lazy that feels!
Edited to add that it is now after 5pm, and I'm still lazing around. My youngest put silly putty in his hair, so I gave him a haircut while I was at it. Plonked him in a bath and sipped hot coffee while I sat on the sofa by the fire. Dh is getting our oldest from school and doing groceries for dinner in the process. And then I will happily get into action to cook dinner.
